Dr. Erin Miller, MD. FRCPC

Endocrinologist

Dr. Erin Miller is an endocrinologist who has been taking excellent care of patients in Edmonton and surrounding communities since 2019.

Dr. Miller completed her residency in Endocrinology and Metabolism at the University of Ottawa in 2019. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Calgary in 2017. She earned her specialist certificate with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Internal Medicine in 2018, and in Endocrinology in 2019. Dr. Miller graduated with her medical degree from McMaster University in 2014. Dr. Miller achieved first-class honours with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Simon Fraser University in 2009.

Dr. Miller enjoys teaching resident physicians. She is a community-academic colleague and an Associate Clinical Professor with the University of Alberta Department of Medicine in the Division of Endocrinology. She provides lectures for the endocrine residents, participates in the endocrine residency program committee, and provides clinical teaching to residents in her clinics.

Dr. Miller has won awards for her clinical presentations at national academic meetings and her research related to resident teaching and the role of the attending physician was published in the Journal of General Internal Medicine.

Dr. Miller cares for patients with a variety of endocrine conditions as well as diabetes. She is also interested in optimizing care for women with endocrine conditions preconception, during pregnancy and postpartum to promote health in both mother and child. Along with her general endocrinology practice at Zia Medical + Women’s Health clinic, Dr. Miller also works at the Royal Alexandra Hospital Outpatient Diabetes Clinic caring for patients with diabetes during pregnancy.
